NSW: Tourist rescued from bottom of cliff

SYDNEY, Dec 27 AAP - A tourist in Australia for only a week was rescued by helicopter
from the bottom of a cliff in Sydney's east today.

The 23-year-old woman from Canada broke both her ankles when she fell a short distance
down the cliff at Gordon's Bay, near Coogee, an NRMA CareFlight statement said.

She was winched 10 metres to the CareFlight helicopter and flown to the Prince of Wales
Hospital, where only this week she had been enquiring about a job, the statement said.

The woman's condition was described as stable.
